Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Standupd ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). This is a draft policy prepared ahead of launch — please review it against your actual data practices before publishing, especially for GDPR (EU users) and CCPA (California users) compliance. Contact us at[email protected]with any privacy questions or requests.

What we collect

  • Account information — username, email address, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
  • Content you create — ratings, comments, watch logs, and an optional profile bio.
  • Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps) kept briefly for security and debugging.

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or device identifiers, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

How we use it

To operate your account, show your ratings and logs to other users as part of the Service's public feed and profile pages, secure the Service (rate limiting, abuse prevention), and respond to support requests.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with infrastructure providers who host the app and database on our behalf (for example, our cloud hosting provider), bound by their own confidentiality obligations, or where required by law.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account, which permanently removes your account and all associated logs. You may also email[email protected]to request a copy of your data or ask us to correct it.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our production database; backups are purged on a rolling basis within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Standupd is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the "Last updated" date above if this policy changes materially, and will make reasonable efforts to notify active users of significant changes.
